It’s okay to not be okay....

It’s okay to not be okay. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Prioritize your mental well-being every day.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve seen…

people struggling with including myself is to ask for help. In our society asking for her help is considered equivalent to being weak, unworthy, and incompetent to face challenges. Being the student of Psychology, I knew the importance of mental health and I always wanted to raise awareness about this underrated issue. I came across Pukaar Community a year ago which has been eagerly providing awareness campaigns to the society and conducting different seminars on campus and their social sites. Pukaar community is trying to bring up the youth at the front line and help people understand the importance of their voices. Truly grateful for my one-year experience with Pukaar and another year ahead of it.

Mental health is a journey....

Mental health is a journey, not a destination. Be kind to yourself along the way, and remember you’re never alone in this.

I joined Pukaar community because…

I want to raise awareness about mental health issues. I believe that many people don’t believe it’s okay for them to talk about their mental health or feel ashamed of admitting that they are suffering from this condition, however; living with mental health conditions is not shameful and it should not be something that people are afraid to discuss with friends or family members. Many people around the world who suffer from mental illnesses often believe that there is no reason to go see a doctor about their emotional or psychological problems so they prefer instead to hide what’s really on their mind which results in many becoming passive and detached instead of taking action towards making themselves feel better! And I know this is the only platform which is raising awareness about this unsung cause in our society.

Your mental health is your....

Your mental health is your wealth. Invest time in self-care, reach out for help, and know that brighter days are ahead.

I consider mental health more…

important than physical health. Talking about it is even more important. We do not value mental health. I as a part of your team raise awareness about mental health in my community. I want more people to know about Pukaar Community working on a great cause to provide help to many out there. Developed to offer low cost and free mental healthcare to those unable to otherwise access it, as a non-profit organization, I volunteer as a part of the Community Ambassador Group for this organization. Also some of us form part of the group who has been spearheading several awareness campaigns and seminars held on the current state of mental healthcare in our society where we encourage mental health sufferers to speak up and try to break the stigma in the society.

Breaking the stigma around....

Breaking the stigma around mental health starts with talking about it. Let’s create a community where everyone feels safe to share and heal.

Sometimes life can be incredibly…

challenging. In our society asking for help is seen as a sign of weakness, and people put a lot of pressure on themselves to do everything by themselves without being able to lean on other people. But it shouldn’t be that way. We would all have much happier lives if we could learn how to accept the help of others every once in a while! One awesome organization that I’d like to encourage you to check out if you somehow need some help or inspiration is Pukaar Community. They’re working hard at spreading awareness about mental health issues and they hold awesome seminars on different mental illnesses to reach the people who really need a hand to overcome their mental illness.

Small steps can lead to big....

Small steps can lead to big changes. Take time each day to care for your mind, whether it’s through mindfulness, therapy, or simply resting.

I am a member of the Pukaar community and…

I can say that it has changed my life. It’s a place of endless possibilities, of new ideas and of deep thoughts. A home for people who want to grow and improve themselves in every way. The community is full of motivated individuals who are warm and welcoming, always interested in what the other person has to say. It’s a place where people love to give a helping hand to individuals suffering from mental health issues and raising awareness about the importance of mental health. The best part is that it’s also an open forum for people to talk about their life experiences and get the best advice. Pukaar has made my life much more interesting. I feel lucky to be a part of it.
