He is specialized addictions practitioner and a certified professional counsellor. He has over 10-year professional work experience within the field of addictions and mental health treatment. He has worked one on one with individuals, couples, families and groups from various cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds in multiple clinical settings. He has worked in various countries like New Zealand, Pakistan & Thailand. Currently, he is working as Consulting Addictions Specialist with an NGO – TeleGlobal Health Services in Karachi – Pakistan. He received his BS degree in counselling studies from New Zealand. He currently holds Registration and Affiliations with professional bodies, i.e; NZ Association of Counsellors Inc (NZAC), Drug and Alcohol Practitioner Association of Aotearoa NZ (DAPAANZ), American Counselling Association (ACA) & International Membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA). His application of different academic theories enhances his understanding of client’s wider world views, while working with them holistically. Comprehensive assessments, reporting and collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans and successful outcomes are important values he upholds, for both his clients and himself. He is highly passionate and motivated about working and supporting individuals facing emotional, psychological, relationship, career and addiction related issues and regard it as his responsibility to move them from ‘SURVIVE to THRIVE’ and show possibilities of a healthier and happier life.
