With the cases of child abuse surging through the news, it isn’t shocking that we have failed Zainab and hundreds of innocent children who became victims to these hostile predators. Now don’t get me wrong, I know you have been playing your part in creating awareness and demanding justice by sharing all such things on social media and I appreciate that A LOT! But have you ever thought for a moment that sexual abuse is not the only trauma that these young souls face?

The Horrors Encountered By Innocent Children

The biggest upset that these young souls face is given to them by none others than those who love them the most; their parents! Imagine idealizing your parents and thinking of them to be perfect in every way. And yet you wake up in the middle of the night to hear their loud quarellering voices and witness them hitting each other.

Well, it isn’t surprising that your world would tear apart from that very moment. You may not realize it but exposure to parental trauma is an insidious agent that gradually eats you from inside in several ways that you might be unaware of. So if you have been a victim of any kind of child abuse, it’s high time to deal with it right now.

But Why Dig An Already Buried Grave?

You might think that what’s gone is gone, but the reality is that it is making you a hollow soul from inside, whether you know it or not. So here are a few reasons why it is vital for you to deal with your childhood trauma:

  • You want to give your children a fulfilling life. Conflicts seep through generations. Your parents fought because that’s what they saw their own parents doing. So your children would do the same unless you manage your trauma. Hence, deal with this right now and don’t become a source of suffering for your children.
  • Boost your self-identity. Remember the days when you were sad because of parental conflicts and were told that the actual fault lies in you as it is YOU who is far too sensitive. This gaslighting and blame-game made you continuously doubt yourself but it could be redirected through therapy.

You deserve absolute happiness. With all the tragedies that you have faced, you have grown into a stronger person. And with this, you deserve to pull yourself together on the days when you feel imprisoned by sadness. So deal with this trauma once and for all to emerge as an even stronger person than before!
